The kids have booked me a trip on this Pathfinder railtour on Sat. Anyone else going on it.

After going to Newcastle on this train 67006 which hauled the outward journey then failed at Heaton. 66515 was sent from Tyne yard to take the train forward 75 mins late leaving Newcastle.

And managed to stay that late until Northfield, then caught up the best part of an hour to Cheltenham (by not going via Droitwich) and eventually arrive in Taunton around 25 late.

Durham was packed, windy (to put it mildly) and cold

It did well to recover. When I got off at Northfield he'd made a bit of time back.
Newcastle was VERY windy and wet. Still at least we got home.
