I don't really know a lot about claiming delay compensation so just wanted to ask whether I'd be entitled to anything and if so where to apply...
Journey was Mirfield-Reading yesterday (Monday 2nd Jan). Planned to get the 1613 direct GC service Mirfield-London KX, which was cancelled. Boarded the 1643 Northern to Wakefield Westgate intending to get the 1727 (?) East Coast service to London. Also cancelled. Got on the 1709 Northern service to Doncaster which left Wakefield around 1740 due to a points failure. Arrived in Donny and boarded the 1850 EC service (ex Newcastle) to Kings Cross, arr. 2055. Managed to get the 2115 to Reading, arriving 2139.
Had there been no problems, the GC service would have arrived in Kings Cross at 1905 and we'd have been in Reading 2025.
Alternatively, the 1643 Northern then EC services would have arrived 1935 / 2059.
Travel was made using the RTN portions of London-Carlisle and Reading-Sudbury SVRs, with Oyster PAYG for crossing London.
Any suggestions?
