When I am commuting I tend to think 'Look at these idiots with their bikes, pushchairs, suitcases, shopping (or whatever), shouldn't be allowed'.
Then when I am going away for a spell and I have luggage I tend to think 'Look at all these idiot commuters standing about blocking the doors so that I can't get on with my bags, or put them away safely'.
My unfortunate encounter with the walking frame came when I had three large bags to manhandle off the train. I got up early so as to be able to manoeuvre them off the racks withoput delaying other alighting passengers or the train. Having got them to the vestibule I saw to my horror a mobility device and refreshment trolley blocking my path. The lady then seemed upset that she was unable to reach her device due to my bags and me blocking the way. In my desire to speed up the process of alighting for everyone, I inadvertently upset a woman who thought she had priority in reaching her assistance.
The moral of this story is that there no one has any more or less right to get on a train at any time than anyone else. It doesn't matter whether they are disabled, a commuter, have a rucksack or anything else. All that we need are trains with more space and a bit more consideration and co-operation, and we will all be a lot happier!
