Yellow Oyster Validator at Surrey Quays

I noticed a new yellow validator at Surrey Quays walking towards Platform 2, although I thought they were getting a pink validator?

The LCD display showed the interchange function. This isn't the validator which is normally covered up.

Possibly for use on football match days?

Does the new reader look permanent? Also where exactly is it in relation to the covered up one (which is at the top left of the walkway to Platform 2)?

Maybe they've forgotten to change the vinyl?

It's to the right hand side just before the walkway to the stairs to Platform 2.

The validators in this area are indeed the Oyster Route Validators. They are currently in testing. They will have pink stickers and accompanying signage applied soon.

The vinyl has been changed to pink this week, however the validator is closed.
