XXX to London Zone 1 validity query

Hi All,

So clearly a ticket to Zone 1 allows one journey on the underground. My question is, are there restrictions on where you can get on to the underground? Does it have to be at the terminus where you arrive?

Supposing I arrive at Kings Cross and walk along to Euston to meet a colleague travelling down from Manchester or Birmingham - would I then be valid to get on the underground at Euston or Euston Square?

In the example you gave I don't think you would have any problems.

No, it's one journey within Zone 1. Doesn't matter where you start or finish, but just one journey. Unless you have a travelcard at least.

A belated thank you for the replies. For info, my ticket was rejected by the barrier at Euston Square, but I was allowed through.

Interesting that you were allowed through. The barrier person would not, of course, be in a position to know if you’d already used the ticket to get from Kings Cross to Euston, to meet your friend !

He only let me through following a conversation that ruled out such a possibility.
