XR Class 345s

Hi, does anyone know the up to date diagrams for the Class 345s? I was last told them in August last year as follows:

Hi, currently the 345 runs as follows: - Monday to Friday: 10.35 Liverpool St to Shenfield, 11.39 Shenfield to Liverpool St, 12.35 Liverpool St to Gidea Park, 14.19 Gidea Park to Liverpool St (does not run on Monday) - Saturday (When engineering works permit running) 11.56 Liverpool St to Shenfield, 13.05 Shenfield to Liverpool St, 13.56 Liverpool St to Shenfield

I believe these change due to more drivers being trained?

XR is the two letter code used for TFL rail.

As for diagrams, I think they might have been in the Class 345 progress thread.

There is definitely more than this now and I don't think these 'preview' STP services run. Don't know the exact diagrams though.

Regular Shenfield, Gidea and Ilford diagrams have 345’s allocated, some in part and some whole. Shadow 345 diagrams have been withdrawn, for the time being at least. It is not uncommon to book-on, only to find that a 315 now replaces a 345 and vice-versa.

XR is the two letter code used for TfL - by whom? This is not supposed to be an acronym users site, it is for people interested in railways. I know where the class 345s are goingt o be used, but please don't use acronyms here, any more that station codes should be used. As DanNcl has now informed me it is the code for TfL rail (Transport For London Rail) I now know what code to use for trains on the overground?

LO is the code used for London Overground. Despite also being managed by TFL, the overground is a totally separate operation from TFL Rail, which will be fully absorbed into Crossrail, presumably hence the XR designation.

XR is the two letter code used in timetables.

It’s XR for Crossrail in the same way as XC for Cross Country.

Hey,

The 345s were running recently in quite a handful however at the turn of the month all of them got stood down and I don't think many (if any) work off-peaks as it stands.

Very few have returned to service since but from the latest observations:
There's a train, which is the 0739 I think to London Liverpool Street ex-Romford (0743 from CTH) so possibly something like 0735 from Gidea Park which I think has reverted to being a 345 as I think I caught this on Monday.

There's a train around 6pm (might be 1756 or 1804 I always forget) that is a 345. I'd advise if you go after this one to arrive at about 1750 ti make sure you don't miss it.

345s are still very faulty at the moment so don't be surprised if they get subbed for a 315 or cancelled instead.

As with all new stock. GTR's 700s have been faulty numerous times since they've went into service, and obviously the aircon shower in GWR's first 800 service (and the panto as well)

Because X is a cross...

Northern line stock (I'm useless at years) use Charing X on their PSI and destinations displays as well.
*Attempts not to ask when the 700 is coming out (inside joke, you'll understand it if you're in one of a few Facebook groups)

They were all pulled from service a few days ago, I'm not sure if any of them have re-entered service yet or not.

Good luck with that one telling people not to use acronyms on the railway!
