Just a quick question, are tickets at peak prices tomorrow for AM?

Depends on the ticket, some TOC's remove the restrictions over Christmas, but others don't

Some TOC's (but not all) have listed what they are doing with tickets here. I notice SWT haven't put anything down but then they don't normally relax their restrictions over Xmas being the lets milk the passengers Scrooges they are..

OK thanks, no probs for me but my cousin is travelling to work in the morning from Slough so wondered if FGW are relaxed?

The former SR never did this under BR either, so SWT are simply carrying on historic precedent, just like SN and SE...

FGW are one missing from the list upthread. They also relax time restrictions form 24th December to 1st January inclusive on flows where they price the tickets.

Between Friday 21 December 2012 and Friday 4 January 2013 (inclusive), evening ticket restrictions from London on Savers will be lifted.

What is a "Saver"?

Saver tickets became Off-Peak tickets at the time of "Simplification". They can be identified in some places as ticket code SVR or SVS.

Page 5 of the FGW Christmas and New Year booklet

All peak travel restrictions are lifted from 22nd December to 1st January inclusive.

And on page 9 they say

Please be aware that we have the right to refuse permission to travel on our trains if you are drunk and disorderly.

And warn that

Alcohol consumption can also lead to alighting the train at the wrong stop or being over carried due to falling asleep on the train.

and so on.

I am aware of this however am struggling to find any publicity regarding Off-Peak Day tickets.

Are the evening restrictions relaxed during this period for Off-Peak Day tickets? This will have an impact on which ticket I buy.
