Hi,

Does anyone know if cross country are still running the wifi test on their trains. If so, does anyone know which services they are running over the next week?

It's only one set, and it's not allocated to a fixed diagram I'm afraid.

I was on it on Thursday afternoon, and it was on a diagram that ended up at Crofton, but it's impossible to work out from that where it went on Friday and later days.

Never tried VT or EC (they're not free), but the connection was excellent and the speed was pretty good too—I was streaming music on Grooveshark for the whole of the 18 minutes I was on that service.

I was lucky enough to get on the WiFi set coming back from Wolverhampton to Manchester.
Completely at random.

 

[Crossover]

From the couple of occasions I have been on the XC WiFi set (220030 by te way) the connection has been OK, though a little up and down. That said, I have only ever managed to get the set on short runs of Stoke - Stafford or Wolverhampton - Stafford before so not much time to really test it
