The question is if anyone can help, what will next tuesdays 6-45 am Newcastle to Bristol train consist of a Voyager or a Hst set?

As only ever see Voyages at Doncaster and as this misses Doncaster and goes Wakefield / Sheffield I never seem to see any Hst sets of XC.

Thanks for the help if you answer my question.

Your train will be a Voyager.
See Link Here for your train.

EDIT: The train an hour behind this will be HST (07.38) to Plymouth

Thanks,
Ross

Thanks for the information I knew somebody would know what type of unit was working the train, at least I know what to expect at Sheffield when it rolls into the platform, and ideas which end first class is? North or South end?

Thank you all again for your help

It is very difficult to say on XC which end first class will be at as the trains regularly change direction.

XC HST diagrams generally start and finish at either Leeds or Edinburgh. That said, the usually HST worked 0632 Dundee-Plymouth started at Newcastle the last three Saturdays due to engineering work between Berwick and Edinburgh.

Must say I haven't had much luck with XC HSTs - I always try to target them and they (nearly) always seem to end up as Voyagers (often double sets).

The Newcastle starter came ECS from Neville Hill.
