XC train formations on sundays?

Hi all.

Just wondered if the majority of XC routes are mainly turbostar operated on sundays due to less people being about or whether its pretty much a carry on as usual routine?

I notice that there is a diagram from Nottingham to Cardiff Tonight and then Cardiff to Leicester tonight as well, I just wondered if these were likely to be turbostar runs or voyager runs, in the hope something different might turn up in Leicester

same as monday to saturday except they may be at least 1 2x170 diagram on the leicester route (was in jan). But what is needed is a earlier Leicester to Birmingham stopper as the first one is full and standing (even as 4 coaches in the middle of january on a not that nice a day)

The one time that the Cardiff to Leicester service does run, it's starting from Birmingham due to a member of train crew being unavailable!

I will agree that there is a capacity issue on that stretch as I have got caught up on really busy trains from coming home photographing stuff. In fact, I have actually stood all the way from nuneaton to leicester before, mind boggling....

I have always argued, as a rule, that the Leicester - birmingham route should have voyagers or should have 2x170's preferable 1 x 2 car and 1 x 3 car. or they could bring back class 31's and a rake of mk.1's as that would probably provide more seats

2x170 causes so many problems so I dont want any more of that (blame the guards) that i almost non-stop have at least 1 unanswered complaint (also helped by the fact XC dont reply within stated times).

As a rule, the Nottingham to Birmingham (and Cardiff) and Birmingham to Leicester (and Stansted) will always be 170 operated, and everything else will always be a Voyager or HST. No exceptions, unless something goes spectacularly wrong.

Not seen many Turbo stars at Newcastle or Glasgow Central on a Sunday so i reckon some services on the XC network are run by Voyager

(I thought Voyagers didn't run, except in times of perturbed working, to Leicester?)

As a rule, the Nottingham to Birmingham (and Cardiff) and Birmingham to Leicester (and Stansted) will always be 170 operated, and everything else will always be a Voyager or HST. No exceptions, unless something goes spectacularly wrong.

There is one voyager service daily from cardiff!

Similarly the early morning Nottingham to Bournemouth is a Voyager.

The Sunday Cardiff to Leicester (1M85) is booked a 2 or 4 car 170 depending on what XC are doing on a given week. It's a convenience move from a Cardiff to Birmingham terminating service to get some 170s to Leicester for stabling to set up the Monday morning peak from Nottingham (there's 2 ECS services from Leicester to Nottingham on a morning, a 2 car and a 2 x 2 car.

The first few morning services Leicester to Brum being very busy are not helped by the fact there's no trains from Nottingham to Birmingham first thing.

There's usually a 4 car diagram on a Sunday, 1119 Leicester to Birmingham, 1222 Birmingham to Stansted, 1625 Stansted to Birmingham.

I thought they usually did the stock moves with a headcode 5 from Tyseley? unless I'm thinking of saturdays...
