I'm planning to travel from Oxford to York on the 9th March, when it seems the ECML is closed between Northallerton and Durham. which seems to be a Reading - Newcastle service, timetabled to run through Darlington like normal - a little odd for a day when no trains can run through Darlington? A dummy booking allows me to buy a ticket on this service all the way through to Newcastle.
Just wondering if anyone had any insight into why this exists and what might happen to it?
In other weeks the service only runs through to Birmingham, so I'm wondering if this one will end up as a Birmingham terminator as well, as opposed to say running through to York (which would be very convenient for me!). Of course XC might take the easy way out and just cancel it entirely.
