1412 from BHM is a 5 car Super Voyager, as posted above the 1525 should be a Voyager (don't know what kind). It's an HST Mon-Fri and departs at 1521.

Do these XC HSTs ever run to/from Scotland anymore? I only see Voyagers now.

They used to operate the 09:00 Glasgow Central - Penzance. That's how I saw them. Now that's purely Voyager operated.

I've been on the 11:12 and 13:12 from New St to Bristol a few times recently during weekdays. Both are scheduled to be HSTs, and what a great improvement the spacious First Class is compared to the claustrophobic feel on the Voyager. Too bad there are no HSTs on the Manchester-Bournemouth route...

I thought there was like, a few that went to Edinburgh at least - on the Plymouth - Edinburgh corridor... Cos that's where they needed the extra seating capacity most =/

0608 off Edinburgh may be the one your thinking of and 0632s from Dundee

Can't tell you about Edinburgh. sorry. That's why I used an example from Glasgow.

That was a Summer thing in 2008. I thought I'd missed the chance to do Scotland-Cornwall on Valentas years ago. I thought it was a wind-up when I saw the diagrams! So I can now say I've done the entire Glasgow-Penzance and Penzance-Dundee journeys on Valenta HSTs, including a 'dining' service of Pizza Express pizzas between York and Darlington courtesy of Max. Will it happen again? Maybe, but it won't be the same with hard seats and MTUs.

They were running up here until late 2008/early 2009. I'm in Glasgow most mornings and I used to see them, but now only the Voyagers.

1V58 hasn't been in a weekday diagram for HSTs since Summer 2008 (Fridays only I think? Positioning move for it to do Plymouth-Newquay-Newcastle on the Saturday), I'm pretty sure. However weekends are different, and a HST did operate that service on Sat 12 Sept and Sat 26 Sept, and possibly other Saturdays.
