CrossCountry HST Diagrams can be found in the Traction and Rolling Stock sub forum. The service you saw was 1V48 0744 York - Penzance. Returns as 1E75 1625 Penzance - Leeds.

They have 7 carriages now as they took the 8th out sometime ago.

43207+XC04+43366 is today's formation

Got a meeting coming up in Birmingham next month and thought it would be the ideal opportunity to get some 125 action.

Needless to say, the ones at the right time have been put into the sidings from mid September <(

Unlucky. XC HSTs have performed well over the summer - only on a couple of isolated occasions has there been a Power Car failure leading to a Voyager sub-in. This acts as proof that 4 diagrams is possible, has worked, can keep to timings on certain runs, and could well work in the future next time XC claim that their fleet is being used to full capacity and there is no spare rolling stock. I honestly can't see a reason why we couldn't have 4 (or maybe 3 - with one diagram being one which starts and finishes in the same place) diagrams all year-round when there is such problems with overcrowding on Voyagers on the core of the network - we have proof it is easily possible.

Indeed. I don't think there's any excuse for overcrowding whilst there are trains sat around.

Can't XC diagram for all XC to be in use MF and if one fails then it just has to be replaced by a voyager if you get what I mean?
