We are pleased to announce that the X43 Poole to Weymouth/Dorchester will be running throughout the summer school holidaysnfrom 27 July until 30 August.

Running daily the X43 will run from Poole Bus Station (Stand G), via Wareham, Wool and Lulworth onto Weymouth with the last journey continuing onto Dorchester. The first morning journey to Poole will start from Dorchester at 0925.

Providing links to some great days out, the X43 will offer a picturesque trip through some of the best loved Dorset towns and villages.

Why not plan some days out with family & friends now ready for the holidays?

Might do this when I bash the Weymouth Wizard HST again in August. It's just a shame that they've rerouted it to Poole rather than Swanage unlike last year.

What does everyone think?

Wonder what buses Damory will use on it this year? (Spectras, Olympians, Solos, etc.)

Thanks,
Jim.

If it follows the previous X43 pattern the bus will be either a Spectra or Volvo B7 with East Lancs school body in yellow.

It is being run commercially this year for the first time so Damory have judged they will make more money running from Poole instead of Swanage.

Possible trip you could do:

Weymouth Wizard to Weymouth
The X43 bus Weymouth-Poole
The 40 bus Poole-Swanage
The 50 bus Swanage to Bournemouth
SWT Bournemouth-Weymouth
Weymouth Wizard back home

You would need to check the relevant timetables to make sure that's actually doable and allow for some buses not stopping due to being full

That sounds like a good plan, but as I said it's a shame the actual X43 no longer goes to Swanage liked it did last year.

It would be impossible to fit all that in the time available. Why not take the 501 open-topper to Portland Bill? Details on the Weymouth Transport page of http://dorset-transport.info
