Location
A typical commuter-belt part of north-west England
This morning, whilst I was awaiting treatment at the MRI (Manchester Royal Infirmary), a middle-aged lady was talking to two other women about Wythenshawe Bus Station being completely closed and quite a number of police and TfGM (Transport for Greater Manchester) officials were on site. From what I gather, a serious attack on a person had occurred in the very early hours of this morning. She said that all the buses were using the area in front of the forum. Has anyone any further news and was the tram service at the adjacent tram stop affected? I went by taxi to and from the MRI and did not use any public transport today.

BBC have the following...

Extract...
A bus station was closed after a man was attacked in the early hours of the morning.

The Wythenshawe transport hub in Manchester was shut down following the assault, which happened on a bus at about 04:25 GMT and left a man with injuries to his head and face.
Seems that (Metrolink) tram services weren't affected.

In that BBC link, why have they shown a picture of the tram stop, as it seems that the Manchester Metrolink tram services were not affected
Obviously a photo lifted off the T'Interweb, but is it not (partly) the bus station on the left as is stated by the original photographer on the 'Geograph' photo website?
