Wsr new triangle

Good morning,

Does anyone know how work is progressing on the triangle just beyond Taunton on the WSR, I am booked on steam railtour from London that day, travelling on the the portion that goes to Minehead, I think the loco is being turned on this triangle rather than the turntable at Minehead, but I did hear progress has been delayed, so wonder if in fact that tour may be changed, which would be a shame as it's an unusal trip, the train is being split at Taunton, one part going to Minehead, the other going to Exeter & Plymouth.

Having passed the triangle on the train last Friday, (May 6th), I think I can say with some certainty that the triangle is not yet in a complete enough state to perform any such turning manoeuvres at the current time.

When is this tour you speak of? It may possibly be ready by the date of your tour..

If you have a look at the pictures here you'll see that they've just connected up the outer triangle, though there's still ballasting, tamping, S&T to be done.
