There ideally needs to be a 7.07 and 9.07 departure either side of the usually very well patroned 8.07 from Shrewsbury, however I'm not sure what the busiest departures from London are other than the 18.33. I've been on a few fairly packed 16.30 trains. Anybody travel regularly on WSMR services?

The 18.33 this evening was full, most of the services have generous loadings now, the 05.10 & 07.23 from Wrexham are busy, the 11.27 has a good loading probably 50% plus, there needs to be a back working from Marylebone with the train crew getting their break, this will also detrmine times timetabled.

The extra service is not due to engineering but it may be affected by engineering, it is an extra service!

excellent , but terminates at Shrewsbury, will it stable at Shrewsbury? for servicing as both stables
at Wrexham will be in use.

I note on Saturdays , it returns from Shrewsbury one hour after the first Wrexham up. Will make a good connection from the Cambrian & Marches.

When I said engineering in my first thread, we have had so much of recent
it springs to mind.

Do WSMR still exist as a separate entity? I thought they were a trading brand of Chiltern now much the same as Gatwick Express and Southern.

The merger hasnt gone through, thats why the Leamington Spa stops are still there. The Dft werent going to do anything with the election kicking about.

Agree all civil servants are in what is called Purdah, no decisions will be made until the new Govt is formed, its like having five weeks off. I dont expect the
merger to be blocked.

As a footnote, I read on Charlie Hulmes North Wales newsboard ,7thMay a 168 dmu replaced "the real train" to Wrexham, he writes," quote
The day after the problems which led to the use of a Class 168 railcar set on a Wrexham train, 67 015 appeared hauling the spare set of blue ans grey coaches, seen here pausing at Gobowen with the 1144 for Marylebone on 22 April.end quote."

first I have heard of this.

Just glanced at a copy of the all Wales Franchise timetable number one effective May /Dec 2110, given out at stations.it states the extra down train Friday (July/Sep) runs on all stations Wrexham arrives 2357. On Sats the extra up departs Wrexham 0817 all stations to Shrewsbury

The W/S website only gives the two services stop/start at Salop,So does it or dosent it, I am sure tdk will have the answer.

Told today by W/S the extra services start/stop at Shrewsbury, due to security as the Wrexham stables are full, however ATW must have
been given the wrong info to have included the four extra stops.
