Checking my journey history on Oyster Online. I've noticed the balance changing for journeys I've made which shouldn't have.

As you'll see from the attachment, I topped up 10p on Tuesday to bring my balance to £3. Journey history shows the balance at £6.30, touching on a bus then brings the total back to £3 as expected.

Wednesday and purchasing a bus pass brings the balance back up to £6.30, the two train journeys show £4.80 and £3.30, then topping up £6 at the station brings it back up to £9.30.

The balance on my card today is £6 which is correct, however I don't understand the sudden change in balance for bus journeys and adding season tickets or PAYG above what I've added?

It certainly looks odd. I'd wait a couple of days until the orange asterisks disappear. Has your Oyster balance displayed correctly when using the actual card?

Yes it has. The final £1.50 journey yesterday showed a total of £0.00 on the gateline when touching out.

But that's wrong. The final bus journey on Monday has mysteriously deducted £3.30 from your balance. If your physical card is showing the lower balance figure then I'd contact Oyster and ask them to sort it out.

Edit: It's worse than that, the error seems to be propagating the whole way through that extract. Have you gone back further to see if there is a point that the figures agreed the whole way through a day?

Last Friday, after touching in at the gateline after ordering from Oyster Online, the total shows £8.90 instead of £5.60. It's corrected on Saturday as shown in the attachment below.

At all times, the gateline shows the correct balance. I also have a paper Oyster Usage Statement from Friday morning after travelling to Charing Cross which shows the correct balance of £2.50 after making a £3.10 NR journey.

I don't know if it's connected to the problem I had with the journey history, Oyster Online have emailed me to refund me £2.70 due to an "operational issue"

£2.70 is the off-peak TfL fare from Forest Hill to Zone 1.
