Presumably a demonstrator.
No idea if it was off the ferry or not

Possibly tied in with this press release of a couple of days ago announcing investment in new electrolysis plant

Wrightbus, alongside Ryze Hydrogen and the manufacturer’s new hydrogen production partner INEOS, have set out on tour today (18 October) to drive a StreetDeck Hydroliner double-decker to the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) that starts on 31 October.
Dubbed the hydrogen roadshow, the tour will travel some 600 miles from London to Glasgow and stop off at several locations in order to demonstrate the role that low-carbon hydrogen plays in the country’s journey to net zero.
Those visits include zero-emissions aviation company ZeroAvia; National Express West Midlands; JCB; Baxi Boilers; hydrogen storage and dispensing firm NanoSUN; and gas distribution experts Suttons Tankers. It will then make its way to a school in Glasgow where pupils will be exposed to the potential of hydrogen as a fuel source.
“This tour will highlight the fantastic innovation happening up and down the country as we move towards a zero-carbon future,” says Ryze CEO Buta Atwal. “We’ve long been excited about the potential benefits that hydrogen can bring, not only in helping the UK to achieve a huge CO2 reduction, but in terms of the green jobs and wider economic benefits that a strong hydrogen sector can bring.”
Adds Wrightbus and Ryze Executive Chairman Jo Bamford: “Our route will take in stops with partners that are at the forefront of hydrogen technology, including aviation, heavy plant machinery and heating.
“We’ll also be talking to companies working to create the important infrastructure needed to produce hydrogen at the levels we need to realise our ambitions for a strong UK-wide hydrogen economy.”
The tour will highlight the new collaboration between Wrightbus and INEOS through subsidiary INOVYN. The supplier claims to be Europe’s largest operator of electrolysis for low-carbon hydrogen production.

Wrightbus are pinning their future on hydrogen power becoming the 'go to' for bus operators within the next few years: if they're right, they should regain a prominent, even dominant, position in the industry, but if they're wrong they'll lose more than their shirt. Interesting times! Good luck to them.

Well I’ve heard their build quality has improved with the Streetdeck. I’ve travelled on a 70 plate Streetdeck and there was no rattles to speak about. I have read on here that the E400 EV is the opposite and rattles from day one.

They do have an electric model too, but you are right about them pinning their hopes on hydrogen!

There does seem to be a growing belief that hydrogen is the solution for PCV & HGV as batteries just don't cut it. As a complete non believer of electric cars, I'm quite happy with this, as if hydrogen production can be standardised and made cost and environmentally friendly, it gives hydrogen cars a chance as they'd need the same infrastructure!

Wright's have spread bet I reckon, but they don't have the market to themselves with ADL having a similar line up of options.

Will be interesting, if they can regain custom where it was lost (Lothian) or pick it up where it never really existed (Stagecoach) - although at this stage it doesn't appear that they need it.

I'm no fan of the owners of their political alignment but you don't wish ill on the company or its workforce for that.
