Wrexham to Llandudno and Conwy

I am planning a non weekend day trip from Wrexham to Llandudno by train, then by bus to Conwy and finally back to Wrexham from Conwy by train. What train ticket do I need? For example, is a return to Llandudno valid for the journey back from Conwy?

One option is a 3 zone North Wales Rover (£22.00) valid for zones F, D and C - so Shotton to Llandudno back form Conwy to Shotton and the local bus services in Conwy / Llandudno coupled with a Day Return Wrexham to Shotton (£4.70).

The Anytime Day Return fare from Wrexham to Llandudno or Conwy is the same (£21), and allows break of journey, so there would be no excess fare.
Trains at Conwy are infrequent, of course.
Plenty of buses to the Junction.

Thanks for these options. It is looking as if a return to Llandudno and then buses to Conwy and back to Llandudno Junction is the way to go. Especially as I have a Welsh bus pass.

However, Conwy is after the Junction going West (yes I know the journey time is short and there are no barriers). Don't know if this makes any difference?
