I've just noticed that in the timetable the last train back from Marylebone on Sundays from 17 May - 19 July ends at Shrewsbury. What happens there then? Is it stabled overnight in Shrewsbury?

I think that may be shelved as the trains in question seem to be going through to Wrexham.

A new rail route from north Wales and Shropshire to London has been hailed a success by managers.

The Wrexham and Shropshire Railway began its service to London Marylebone station on 28 April.

The firm's commercial director Richard Harper said it had carried about 5,000 passengers each week since the route opened.

He said: "The response from the public has been absolutely terrific and stakeholders too."

The speeds for Loco & Stock from ME to BAN are:

25 out of Marylebone
50 up to about 1000m from Neasden Jct
60 up to Neasden Jct
40 Across Neaden Jct
60 then 50 to Northolt Jct
70 to High Wycombe
50 through High Wycome
70 to Princes risborough
30 through Princes Risborough
40 then 60 to Bicester North
45 through Bicester North
85 to Aynho Jct
25 then 40 through Aynho Jct
90/85 then 75 to Banbury

The sprinter speeds are a lot higher in most places.

The only other parts of the route that has restrictions that affect the timings are 60 vice 80 on the Kennilworth lines or 70/75/70 between Leamington and Small Heath & 60 vice 70 from Salop to Wrexham.

Hope this clears up the line speeds for the loco & stock

Had a trip on Chiltern and London Midland up to Kidderminster today (to the SVR) it appears theres now 100/30 TSRs for serveral miles around Bicester North. Is this as a result of the use of 67s on the line or have they been there for some time?

Nothing to do with the 67s, its to do with the diverted Class 4 freights when Rugby is blocked. The embankments cant hack it.

If it's 100/30 then it's 100 for WSMR. If it's DMU100 and 30 then the 30 applies for WSMR. I don't recall a lot of 30mph running, there was a lot of slow running but not that slow, so I guess it's the former.

On the TSR boards its just plain 100 over 30 but the psr is sp 100/60 till Bicester North and then SP 100/85 to Anyho Junction.

It's 60mph for WSMR. I have never seen a TSR/ESR SP/MU board.

The linespeed from Bicester to Aynho Jct is 85mph, then 25mph through Aynho then 90mph to the 85/75mph approaching Banbury

They're fantastic! Very much like Hull Trains in a lot of ways but thats really only to be expected.

They had a bad day yesterday with two sets failing on the diagrams that start with the second one from WRX and the first one from MYB!
