Well, the live departure boards seem to have gone totally mad tonight. There is a departure showing from Lichfield TV at 19:15 for Wrexham General. I'm guessing that it's stopping because of the cancellation of the 19:08 to Glasgow Central. At present it's showing the following calling:

Crewe
Chester
Rhyl
Colwyn Bay
Llandudno Jct
Bangor
Holyhead
Chester
Wrexham General

This would definitely be an interesting route!

Double Voyager, splitting at Chester, one unit to Wrexham, one unit to Holyhead.

Technically the train from Euston is a London-Holyhead train running as 1D92. In theory, Virgin could just run 1J32 Chester-Wrexham (without touching London) and it wouldn't count as a cancellation.

Yes the path Chester/Wrexham was given to VT by ATW, its 99% used as a local service, ATW just start at Wrexham to Shrewsbury. If the VT is five late the connection is gone.
