Some more pics on their fan page over on Facebook. Looks like some quite major changes to buffet - counter is now end on rather than at the side.
Mind if i have a link?

The newly refurbished set of coaches arrived at Marylebone this afternoon at 13:17, running ECS from Wembley LMD into platform 3 to go on display for a few hours before forming the 16:33 to Wrexham. There seemed to be a lot of interest in the train and hopefully, its first public run will have been a success.
Live Departures shows it 20 minutes late into Wrexham General after losing 8 minutes between Marylebone and Coventry and getting stuck behind a number of stoppers in the West Midlands as a result.
Cheers,
Barry
That normally happens it the 16.30 leaves London late as the timings are very tight

Get it right! :P
All guards or train managers should be like Niki![]()
Blonde/good looking/clever.what a Wrexham Girl/guard (excuse the pun).
Fully agree with you Geezertronic.
She's not a Wrexham Girl, but is a very nice person
W&S's new shunter arrived at Aylesbury depot today, on the back of an Allelys low-loader from their yard at Studley, I think. This is a Ruston & Hornsby 0-6-0DM, Works No. 468043, and carries the name "Lesley". Its TOPS number is 01509, though it doesn't seem to carry this, and is in all over Chiltern blue livery. It is allocated to AL and is in pool MBDL. It will be used to shunt Wrexham stock around the depot at Aylesbury (one of their coaches was at Aylesbury today, for tyre-turning), instead of having to use a Class 67 or one of the "Bubble-Cars" as has been done in the past.
The shunter arrived around 14:00 and was unloaded onto road "E" at the depot, and was successfully started up around 16:00.

Thanks for the comments on the shots - sadly, the weather had turned dull after a bright start...
I've now added more shots to the collection.
67015 + 82304 were back at Aylesbury depot at 12:00 today when I went past, not sure whether with a full set, so had perhaps arrived to collect the W&S coach that was there yesterday. In which case the new shunter may well have been in action already. It was stabled with the bubble-car 120 121 at the depot today, so not where it was yesterday afternoon after delivery.
Cheers, Geoff
PS hope you are OK after your accident bengley
Does anyone know for definite which services the new stock will be running on? Wouldn't mind a run up to Wrexham as I have a few friends up that way. My 16-25 Railcard makes it even more affordable too!
How many 'sets' do Wrexham and Shropshire have? and does anyone know what the time scale for the refurbishments are? I am travelling with them in December and really hope we get one of the refurbished sets.
TDK you have your ears to the ground, any idea, however with only one set running, difficult to give an exact service, but someone will know.
There is a meeting of Wrexham Railway Society tomorrow, at St Marys Club
might be a stray W/S employee there is so Ill ask,

Wikipedia has answered the question of sets, 4 complete sets, with total stock of 5 Class 67 Locomotives, 12 Mark 3 Coaches, 4 Driving Van Trailers.
Wikipedia's wrong. Wrexham and Shropshire now have five sets, including the refurbished one, with three sets required to run the full service.
In addition, Chiltern's DVT (82302) is on loan to W&S at the moment.
The diagrams generally work as follows (barring failures and swaps):
- Set A : 07:23 ex-Marylebone, 11:27 ex-Wrexham, 16:33 ex-Marylebone
- Set B : 05:12 ex-Wrexham, 12:17 ex-Marylebone, 16:07 ex-Shrewsbury
- Set C : 07:23 ex-Wrexham, 18:33 ex-Marylebone
The nominal "Set B" is the lodge train, and works the 07:23 ex-Marylebone the next day.
Refurbished set spotters: The refurb should be on the 07:23 ex-Wrexham and 18:33 ex-Marylebone today (Tuesday) by my reckoning.
Cheers,
Barry
Only a temporary situation. We are using the Chiltern DVT to allow us to release a Silver DVT to Axiom at Stoke to do the final testing of the new coaches. One of the current sets has now been stood down and will be broken up in the next few days. The DVT will be going to Stoke to test and collect the new coaches, 2 Cargo-D coaches will be going back to them and the remaining DB Regio UK coach will be spare.
