Hi

If I brought an Anytime Day Return from Yeovil Pen Mill to Bristol Temple Meads would I be able to break my journey at Bath Spa on the way back? What effectively I need to be able to do is spend half a day in Bristol and then the rest in Bath before getting the train back to Yeovil.

If I’m allowed to break my journey in this way then when I catch the train from Bristol to Bath can I get on any train that goes to Bath or would I have to get on a train heading to Yeovil due to my ticket but then get off at Bath? I don’t know if this makes sense but I’m not sure how to word it sorry.

Thanks in advance for any guidance anyone can give.

Looks perfectly fine to me. What time are you travelling from Yeovil Pen Mill to Bristol TM? After 0815 the Off Peak Day Return is valid and would save you several ££.

Thank you for your speedy reply. I think it would probably have to be the 7:35am service from Yeovil Pen Mill to Bristol TM. I need to try and get back to Yeovil during their scheduled staffing hours (until 18:20 weekdays) as I need staff assistance to get to the station exit on my return due to my disability.

Can assistance be pre-booked for outside of the stations normal staffed hours?

In answer to the supplementary part of your initial question in post #1, can't see any problem in you getting a train for the first part of your return journey, i.e. from Bristol Temple Meads to Bath Spa, that isn't necessarily one that's then continuing on to Yeovil Pen Mill / Weymouth. Obviously, don't forget to alight at Bath Spa!

Up the creek
Just remember to get an Anytime Day Return as you intend and not to inadvertently buy a ticket that is tied to specific trains.
