Would "2 trains on the same platform" work in the UK?

I am guessing making provision for two pairs of 6car 195s (do they actually have enough of these ?

I thought extending the throat required demolition of a small bridge connecting two airport car parks , so I'm surprised it has reached this stage without more info coming out about how it will be done.

It would allow two double 185s or 323s to stack with combinations of the others, or two 802s or 397s (and so on).

I think that it was mentioned obliquely at the same time as other measures were being contracted for, like the new platform at Salford Crescent.
