That's Eastleigh platform 2 if anyone didn't recognise it!

Recently the Southampton Echo used a photo of an EMT 158 sitting at Lincoln to illustrate a story about strong winds and the problems with a landslip at Botley:

Maybe there's a mileage competition going on to see whose stock photo is furthest away from the reality. Looe/Glasgow will take some beating...

oh ffs. You do realise that most local papers have been cut back so much that they are pretty much written remotely with a couple of freelancers on the ground.

The poor sod who wrote that probably had about 30 seconds to find and insert the picture from the library before having to move on to the next article about mr boggis's scarecrow for a 'local' paper website on the other side of the region.

this.

I've been to London on the train many times but I don't recall it looking so much like East Garforth before !

Hmm. Maybe that would be more logical in an article about Huddersfield !

You'd think so, but the fact they labelled it 'London' has me wondering if that job was outsourced to one of the Mirror Group's other regional offices: perhaps one in the Outer Hebrides if they have one there!

I've spotted a different use for some clip art.

How about a Strathclyde Class 156 for your far more aggressive record?

(pretty decent band by the way!)

Rather surprisingly for the Southern Daily Echo - that's the SWT 158 EMT hired in a few years ago in Lincoln. So slightly ironically, right operator wrong location.

That looks more like a loaned SWT unit!
