Don't you see trainspotters on there sometimes... run-down, fulorn. Until 1990 it was staffed with buildings on the island and road level, waiting rooms, toilets. Unrecognisable now

Personally I found Coventry to be a bit of a hole, lots of concrete and quite dirty.

Other stations that make my list:

Shrewsbury - no particular reason, just never enjoyed catching a train from there.

Wigan North Western - I think it may have had a makeover since my last visit, but when I was last there in 2007 it was not a pleasant station.

Kings Cross - Crowded and every train I have ever caught from there was delayed 9 times out of 10 (I think I am just very unlucky there lol).

Hampton in Arden was used pre Birmingham International, now they've stopped people from walking the whole length of the platforms as they don't maintain them

On Saturday about 50 odd photographers showed up for a picture of my unit......As exactly the same time in the platform a Steamer on return trip to Brum passed....

What really is the worst station in Britain?

I,d go for Barnhill Station in Glasgow.
40 years ago it looked like the last stop before hell.
Considering it took its name from Europe,s biggest poorhouse i might well be right.
