Following on from the "Worst Modifications" thread, what livery do find is the worst to your eyes, past and present?
I've never liked the following:
Hanson Class 59 - a bit boring IMO
One livery in it's various forms.
Virgin Voyager and Pendolino red - too brash for me.
Metronet GBRf Class 66's - cluttered.
New ScotRail, only the arrow things at the ends though.

The barbie livery that FGW once had just looked awful. And the current EC livery looks far too bland.

I think the Thameslink Programme livery (pink front with multicoloured stripes) which is carried on two 319s (319364 and 319365 I think) looks horrible. Something you don't want to look at if you've got a headache or are feeling sick!

Apart from that, I remain undecided on the ATW 67s. :|

One - urgh
Original MML livery - urgh
Arriva Trains Merseyside (pre-50x refurb) - horrible shade of yellow with a bland mix of white
NX Scotrail - urgh
DB Schenker - far too red

Arriva is probably the worst I've encountered - but the newer teal all-over ones are better.

Possibly I'll get blasted for this - but Regional Railways' livery was pretty poor, certainly looked ridiculously old hat when the likes of Central came along!

The grey version of the East Coast livery is the worst in my opinion, just so drab and bland.

I have a soft spot for the special 319s ;)

That loco going round with the livery designed by a four year old, it's horrid.

390s in Virgin livery.

I didn't actually mind Connex. It looked a bit like Eurostar. :|

I'm sorry to those who admire Northern, and there do seem to be a few, but they do seem to never be able to decide what their livery is exactly, and I'm afraid it does seem rather discordant and garish.

GNER was drab and dreary.
London Midland is dark and gloomy as well.
DRS's compass livery is a messy thing.
And as for the pinky purpley East Coast livery... <(

'ONE' - The Many Versions of the 'ONE' livery

Sliverlink - With it's Cadbury Blue  And lime Green livery - Wasnt designed by Willy Wonka was it?

National Express - East Anglia & the dreadfuly sad attempt to run East Coast

East Coast...Grey, Grey, Oh and we'll throw in a pink band to not make the livery look so boring...

DRS's original livery - The original livery sat poorly on a 47, Whereas the Compass looks rather smart!

West Coast Railway Co's Sludge Brown - The original West Coast livery on 57601 looked rather smart, almost an inverted Fragonset, but sadly everything since seems to be unfortunatly in a sludge brown livery (Or an unfortunate shade of Maroon - Proper maroon is used on the coaches, so why not use more of that? And continue putting logos on the locos! Dirt brown unbranded livery looks rather dull when dirty! ala 47500...

Railtracks Livery on some locos - 31 & 73s

The meny versions of Southeastern - Just when you think theyve settled on repainted the fleet into one livery, it's time to start repainting it again! Which, dosent look to bad on a Networker, But looks bland on the already uninspiring design from Bombardier, The Electrostar!

The many versions of Northern Rail - Still a rather uninspiring attempt, and even that only took them the best part of 4 years!

And finally, for now at least, The Stansted Skytrain livery on the 322s...

>> Not such a livery, but one for the dullest design of unit, for me, has to be the 320/321/322!

National Express 'Polar Bear' livery (all over white with no silver) - it looks good on modern stock like the 357s and 379s, but on older units such as 317s it just looks way too bland.
