Worse Train Company

This is the list of ALL train companies currently in operation thanks to ATOC, I am aware that some are actually managed by a parent company ie Gatwick Express is actually part of Southern but for this Poll, I'm treating them a separate companies.

What's the criteria we are suppsoed to judge the worst TOC on? Fares? Rolling stock? Staff? Presumably it's everything, but the companies listed are very diverse and their operation can be as different as chalk and cheese.

How can we ever objectively measure a TOC like Island Line against something like Virgin Trains? Or Scotrail wih its large network of commuter, long distance and rural routes with something like Eurostar?

In terms of the way they treat customers, one of the First Group TOCs has to 'win' this! I think I'll vote for FCC, because of the behaviour of their RPIs on the Great Northern Route, and the disgusting way jonmorris0844 has been treated. (FCC spoof video here)

You can't vote a TOC down for rolling stock or their timetable - that's determined by the DfT!

Gatwick Express is just a brand name, to be phased out shortly. Island Line is also a brand name.

I could rename it to the Best Train Company but seeing as one has already been done, I thought I go in the opposite direction as usual and do one in reverse.

So to keep the karma flowing, this poll got set up!

As to the names used, well I just went by what ATOC use.

I went for Southern because of a particularly unhelpful member of staff I encountered at Wandsworth Common last year regarding a prepaid groupsave ticket not being dispensed from a TVM. Petty I know, but I can only go with my own experiences and impressions given that this was the first time travelling with them. BTW, when are the results of this made public?

My instinct is to go for London Midland as it is what I have to put up with most days (though have to admit they have been OK recently - touch wood !). However, I will decline to vote as I have very little experience of many other operators.
