If Blatter can hang around forever despite the endless corruption there then he will survive.

There's a podcast in Australia called Sports Bizzare doing a series on it now. It is so flagrant some of the corruption it's not funny.

I note Jarell Quansah, who started at right-back against Mexico, had been banned for two games for his red card in the last-16 tie - i can only assume Infantino has been uncontactable on his FIFA plane as i am sure he would suspend this ban otherwise. FIFA wouldn't want one rule for one and one rule for the others would they?

Also Bellingham is on a booking so will clearly get a soft booking in the Norway game to rule him out of any potential semi final.

Bellingham needs to take a deep breath and wind his neck in, and stop haranguing referees. This isn't Real Madrid in La Liga where you're virtually untouchable for almost all the season

I'm amazed he hasn't already had a booking for dissent

If England and Argentina do both progress and meet in the semi-final, the match will be so intense the adrenaline rush will make all the players unable to sweat afterwards.

The lad is a born winner and needs that aggression in his game, don't stifle it. If it means he gets suspended, so be it.

Who’d be a goalie. Norway’s keeper played a massive part in them beating Brazil and then a mistake today and they’re out

England were poor, but good enough, and that’s all that matters

My anxiety levels go up whenever the ball is heading towards Pickford. He's got the same levels of confidence as all those birds that wait until the last microsecond before flying out the way of cars. He/they are certain they'll be fine, but to me watching I'm expecting things to go wrong.

Did anyone else get confused by the Norwegian coach wearing a white t-shirt? There were times where just from a glance it appeared England had another player hugging the touchline that they never passed to… :)

I felt really calm watching that game. Knew England would win. Cant say I have felt like that before. It is like watching a German team: Not very good. Win.
