Work Experience in Public Transport

Good evening,


I am a Year 11 (GCSE year student) looking for a work experience placement in the transport industry (particularly TfL, London Bus operators and NR operators in London). I would be grateful for any advice you could give me for obtaining this experience.

The easiest way to get work experience is through knowing someone at one of these organisations.

Alternatively, you will want to send an e-mail to HR people in these organisations and ensure you present a slick e-mail explaining why you would want an opportunity (just because you have an interest transport will not suffice), what you would like to do and what experience you have/ volunteering/ things that make you stand out.

Cant help with work experience with busses, but with tfl, underground, London overground, and the national services it wouldn't hurt to phone , write in or even put an email in to them.

Monday 25th June to Friday 20th July 2018. My nearest tube stations are Southgate, Arnos Grove and Oakwood.
