Anyone know what the work is at birchgrove it looks like they are clearing space to reopen the second platform

I'd have thought it's just vegetation clearance.
There's no immediate structural/construction work planned on the City Line.

Im under the impression there is to be a loop somewhere on the Coryton Branch

I have just had a look down at Birchgrove station (on the Coryton line) from the road bridge and it appears that the disused platform and trackbed is being cleared. Does anybody know why this is? Is it in connection with possible redoubling work for the Metro?
