I'll be buying an off-peak day return, Worcester to Stafford.

I'll be travelling from Worcester Foregate Street to Birmingham New Street, then direct from Birmingham to Stafford via Wolverhampton.

What are my options for coming back a different route on the Stafford to Birmingham part of the journey?

Are the following valid routes permitted? Are there any other possible valid routes? :

Stafford - Rugeley Trent Valley - Birmingham
Stafford - Lichfield Trent Valley - Birmingham
Stafford - Tamworth - Birmingham

Yes, any of those are permitted. You can take the direct route via Wolverhampton, or you can take the Trent Valley line to Rugeley, Lichfield or Tamworth and then head into Birmingham from there.

From Birmingham, in addition to the obvious route via Bromsgrove and Droitwich, you can also go via Stourbridge, or via Worcestershire Parkway.
