I'd like to visit both Acocks Green and Kenilworth one day this week, on one ticket, on the same day.

Which is the best way of doing it?

First option. An off-peak day return Worcester to Kenilworth. I visit Kenilworth first, then I return by changing at Leamington Spa. Then, I break the journey at Solihull, then break it again at Acocks Green, stop there for an hour, then return direct from Acocks Green to Worcester.

Second option. I buy a return from Worcester to Leamington Spa (same price). I travel via Coventry and break the outward journey at Kenilworth, stop there for an hour or two, and then head for Leamington Spa. Then, I break my return journey at Solihull, stop at Acocks Green, then direct back to Worcester.

Are both options valid?

Nothing to prohibit break of journey on either option - indeed they are in the same fares cluster.

Both are valid options, but the Kenilworth ticket is probably the better option as you can choose to travel each way on either route (via Coventry or Leamington Spa). With a Leamington Spa ticket, you'd be tied to going out on one route and returning on the other route, as you're breaking your journey at Kenilworth.
