Wolves or Birmingham - Glasgow return: can you beat this?

Looking to travel to Glasgow the weekend of 9-10 November, wondering if anyone can help me beat the following fares:

Saturday 9/11:
advance
(multiple times) Wolverhampton - Glasgow: £44.50

Sunday 10/11:
advance:
1536 Glasgow - Carlisle - Newcastle - Birmingham 2206: £46.00


Need to arrive in Glasgow by 2100 on Saturday, and need to arrive in Wolverhampton by 2300 on Sunday. Don't mind long journeys.

Thanks anyone who can help, I am going to look at splitting at Preston or Manchester now...
