I noted this in last weeks update from the European Rail Timetable publishers. Not sure it has been flagged on Railforums. Apols if I am posting something that has already been mentioned.

Although I did not do a footplate experience, a trip to Wolsztyn a few years ago was one of the most enjoyable overseas visits I have made.


Howard Jones MBE 1952 - 2023

It is with great sadness to hear news of the passing of Howard Jones who, together with his brother Trevor, was responsible for running the popular Wolsztyn Experience which offered unique steam locomotive footplate experience courses in Poland.

Have -- very belatedly -- only just noticed this post. Having made a number of visits to Wolsztyn over the decades; although the "Experience" in its various facets has not been my personal "thing": kudos to H.J., and brother, for enthusiasm and hard work leading to much pleasure for what must have been many hundreds of people.
