It was a pool code for EWS locos in the late 90s that were stored, being allocated to WNXX often meant next stop was Wigan CRDC (component recovery and disposal centre) which was used to dispose of the inherited BR locos. Ian's original site was focused on the comings and goings of the controversial CRDC as it was almost a daily occurrence where a loco was stored or dismantled.What does WNXX stand for?
