What does WNXX stand for?
It was a pool code for EWS locos in the late 90s that were stored, being allocated to WNXX often meant next stop was Wigan CRDC (component recovery and disposal centre) which was used to dispose of the inherited BR locos. Ian's original site was focused on the comings and goings of the controversial CRDC as it was almost a daily occurrence where a loco was stored or dismantled.

Ian is in hospital at the moment but recovering. He has reported a couple of times in the thread in the last week. I think we all must wish him a speedy recovery.

Updated today, admin/editor has been in hospital recovering from covid.
