They sometimes also allow a payment plan.

They said pay to an account number with the specific reference. Is this legit?

What is your deadline for paying this?

Just concerned about them thinking I have 2 investigations once I receive the letter regarding the February incident?

If you have not yet received a letter about this incident, it may be appropriate to hold off with the payment to see if you receive anything before the deadline. I am not sure what the best thing to do is in this case as you are not going to be able to ignore a letter about the February incident.

The deadline to pay the fares is Monday 24th March. I don’t think I will receive an email regarding the February incident in this time

Yes, and the logic behind this is because if you only have to pay the difference you can keep buying tickets with a greater discount than you are entitled to and 'get away with it' until you are caught which statistically is not going to be every time - hence there needs to be an element of the 'punitive' about this to prevent you doing it again / making the 'same mistake' in future.

I think what I will do is pay the fine(as I won’t get the letter before) and then when I receive the letter explain the situation and say I am willing to pay the fares up to the February date and explain I have bought the correct tickets afterwards. Do you think this is okay?

However I received an email today saying that my case is frozen for court due to my account being flagged for both references. They asked for my 16-25 railcard again (which I sent in the last reference) Can anyone provide help. I am willing to settle and pay the fines after Jan like they mentioned before, but worried what their new email means.

There’s quite a few. Basically I got stopped at the station in Feb for using a 16-17 railcard when I have the 16-25 railcard. But I received an email a few days later saying I have been investigated for a misuse of my rail card and I paid for all the tickets up to Jan 2025 (this was a seperate investigation for the same reasons). I explained to the investigator my situation and he said when I receive a letter about the Feb incident I can just pay the remaining fines from Jan to Feb. I received an email today and they are now saying my case is frozen for court (what will this mean?) and they want an attachment of my 16-25 railcard which I have just sent. Do you have any advice please?
