I'm not meaning to tread on anyone's toes here etc... but I just thought I'd show my work so far on this - as I don't seem to be able to find one already done.

The train I'm using is the 170 from Trainsimcentral. I haven't modified the train files and if I do distribute this it will be replacement files only for the exterior.

Just to cover myself even further - all photos from which the FTPE livery were taken from were pictures taken by myself at Hull or Brough. The livery itself I have redrawn on Photoshop (because I couldn't get a clear shot without shadows etc...) and the 'Dynamic Lines' blended in from the photos. I'm sure there are details missing from the train as of yet - but it's a WIP!

Anyway, here's some shots:

If you ask me, it looks really good. Definately one of the best oBVE external views I have seen :D

The only thing for me is, maybe make the windows darker and the skirt below the cab is black IIRC :D

Great work :)

Thanks for the input :) - I've made some alterations this morning (although there are still a lot to make!) - here's how the train is looking now:

And another shot with tweaked doors, and a rather dirty looking 170 at Whitminster!

Almost finished front-end now. Sorry for all the rushed updates!

Still wasn't happy with the front end so I've re-modelled it - again! Looking quite a lot better now :)
