Stainless steel drums of waste (each weighing around 1 tonne) are being railed from Dorset to Cumbria. They travel from the Winfrith Magnox site to Drigg, via Crewe. A number of such runs were made last year, with the wagons TNT by 68s; the train running down in the morning with empty wagons and heading north the same afternoon loaded.
The train ran again last Thursday (23rd); does anyone know why it returned north empty? Was this a training/refresher run after the winter break?
