Windmill Lane Tunnel, Chester

I've just been re-reading J.M.Dunn's guide to The Chester and Holyhead Railway, and he claims that this tunnel - the first just after the left-hand curve out of Chester towards Saltney Junction - is unique in that four tracks pass through the one tunnel.

Now the layout at this point has been reduced to three tracks, is it still unique? I know there are places where there are two separate tunnels, for example the Northgate St tunnels immediately following, but is this still the only place on the system where a single tunnel accommodates three tracks?

Well there are 4 such quad tunnels between Edge Hill and Lime St in Liverpool.
The first tunnel out of Euston (Upper Park St) and the second out of St Pancras (Lismore Circus) are both quad track.
East Bank Tunnel south of Sheffield is triple.
Richmond Hill tunnel east of Leeds has 5 tracks.
The longest is Upper Park St at 162 yds (Windmill Lane is 104 yds).
There may be others.

I recall the four tracks, out of General Station, I can not remember if two were for the Wrexham turnoff(Up/Down) or what,I know GW had a large shed at Saltney well after the turnoff. What about edge hill?

Edge Hill tunnels are made up of two single outer bores and a double line centre bore.
