Winding up people with the incorrect ticket

I know I probably shouldnt wind people up but sometimes I like to. Today, RPIs came around to check tickets in 1st. As usual I was the only one with the correct ticket. Anyway the RPI said to those getting penalty fared people pay a lot of money top sit in 1st. One of the people then said there is only one guy (pointing at me) who is sitting in here with a 1st ticket so why cant they.

Long story short I wound him up and got him really irate while laughing in his face. Maybe I should of just ignored him but some people need to be put in there place :roll:

I suspect there are a number of people who get on my train that have been penalty fared (in other incidents) now that hate me!

Just make sure that you wear a helmet and a bullet-proof vest on your way to work next time.

There's such a thing as being a good winner. Do right for the sake of doing right, not to get one over on other people.

I also probably wouldn't recomend winding people up who you know break rules.

The first one is starting to become more and more common in newspapers, it really gets my goat when I see it. I know it's normal to drop sounds from words in spoken language but you would still expect professional writers to know what the word is that they have actually used, and spell it correctly, and not confuse it with a completely different word that sounds the same.

If you mean the "of" instead of "have" there's at least two mistakes before that

Stay out of it. There's nothing more irritating when trying to deal with an already difficult situation than some smart arse wading in to put the boot in where it's not wanted. No doubt if you'd been smacked or worse you'd have wanted the RPIs/BTP to deal with that as well. I once had a minor incident where a bloke was shouting at me over a substantial delay (which I am perfectly well trained and capable of dealing with) escalate into near physical violence when some other people decided to come over and attempt to put him in his place.

I must concur with this, you are putting the staff under increased pressure while they're trying to deal with a potentially difficult situation. We are trained to deal with difficult situations but I have not yet been in a situation where other passengers getting involved has made things better.

A risky move by the OP, but I think that the last few posts contain advice that is worth heeding and I doubt there is much to be gained from discussing this further.
