Winchester - Durham help

Hi all,

Naturally I wasn't quick enough to get advance tickets for the Christmas period and I know that long journeys are usually not suitable for splitting, but does anyone have any bright ideas for the below?

Winchester to Durham, going out after 1600 on 23rd, or early 24th December, and returning after 1600 on the 2nd or any time on the 3rd. 2 adults, one with a 16-25 railcard. The best I've found is a £74.85 16-25 off-peak on XC, but can anyone suggest anything better?

Having had a quick look you may be right, I'll be surprised if you can save more than about £2-£3 on that.
