Welcome to Special Competition 004 :: Free for all

Entries will be accepted from now until 6pm Tuesday, after which voting will begin, finishing at around 6pm on Friday.

The prize for the winner of this competition is 2 tickets to the DRS Gresty Bridge (Crewe) open day on 19th July, many thanks to Crompton Karl for donating these tickets! (These tickets were available for free during June, but now none are available. A £2 donation is suggested (for charity) on entry.)

Entries to the usual place, http://www.railforums.co.uk/gallery/ - make sure you select SC 004 when uploading!

If the gallery upload does not work, please email your photo to potw@railforums.co.uk, clearly stating that they are for the special competition.

Entries sent by PM or other method will not be accepted.

Any new users who vote will not have their votes counted

Any questions should be posted here

Good luck!

Jordy

Any new user may enter the competition, it's just certain votes will not be approved to stop people creating second accounts to vote for their own (or their friends') photo.

I think that as we have just had a DRS competition, and this is for a DRS open day, the winner of that should get the tickets. If only I could remember who won...;)

Hello Adamp,

DRS limit their open days to about 1000 people, the tickets had to be applied for a few months ago and were sent out about 4 weeks ago. Unfortunately, if you do not have a Ticket, entry will be refused.

All the best

Karl :)

Once again, thanks to everyone that voted for me, it was a great day and i enjoyed it.

Regarding the tickets, they weren't that bothered, they only just had a quick look at your ticket, and aslong as you put a donation in the bucket they didn't really care. So if you had a ticket, you could of shown it and they when you had finished, passed it onto someone else that you know back at the station.

Acctually, i think (this being second hand info) if you went about 2:30-3pm, if you have a fiver you were allowed in without a ticket.

Once again, thanks for the people who voted for me.

But a special thanks to Karl for supplying the ticket for the event.

Thanks

Andy
