This scheme was extended to the south-west of the county today:

South-West Wiltshire (Mere & Warminster area)
For a summary of bus service changes taking place on 1st September 2025 please CLICK HERE

Downloadable Wiltshire Connect Flyer CLICK HERE
Rides can be booked from 27th August for 1st September onwards.
You can use Wiltshire Connect buses to travel between any location within each service area and there is a wide range of designated pick up and drop off points available. (Rides can be booked up to a maximum journey length of approx. 13 miles as the crow flies).
Locations served include Mere, Warminster, Frome in Somerset and Gillingham and Shaftesbury in Dorset. (Short rides within Frome, Gillingham, Warminster and Shaftesbury are not permitted and where a timetabled bus service is available for your journey).
Villages served include Sutton Veny, The Deverill`s, Chitterne, Maiden Bradley, Kilmington, Bourton, Zeals and Tisbury as well as leisure attractions at Longleat, Stourhead and Shearwater.

The service which is a combination of DRT and regular services does extend into Dorset and I spotted a green minibus on service 57A entering Gillingham early afternoon.
It appeared to be branded Melksham Bus or similar?

This will be FromeBus running their 57 Warminster to Mere service.

Looks to have been using VU06 KFC which carries the "Melksham Metro" livery.

Fromebus also took over more Trowbridge Town Services today from Faresaver, so no doubt their Melksham and Westbury liveried Solo's will have plenty of chance to spread their wings!

Thanks for your replies!

Just to say that Frome Bus Optare Solo YJ64DHU was at Gillingham railway station this morning on the 57 Warminster service, and I spotted a green Wiltshire Connect liveried minibus coming out of the Stourhead National Trust property around midday on Saturday - couldn't identify it, but noted it followed me all the way up through Maiden Bradley to the Frome bypass.
