Is Willesden TMD Bombardier still going to maintain the Chiltern 172s now that the Overground 172s are heading off? Will they just be focused on 710s and 378s from now on?

However in another recent thread it was suggested that Chiltern are about to swap them out and replace them with WMR 170s, (which would probably be re-worked into 168s)...

Chiltern 172 have not been maintained at Willesden for some time now. Day to day running maintenance is done at Wembley LMD and heavier stuff being done at Aylesbury. As for the Chiltern 172's heading to Tyseley, thats not happening for a while yet as there is at the moment nothing to replace them with...

I thought they only went to Willesden TMD for tyre turning.

The 172's used to go to Willesden for exam work but they are now taken care of at Wembley and Aylesbury. They were sent to Tyseley for tyre turning for a while but now they are done at Aylesbury.

The LO 172's left months ago and have been in service with WMT since May.
