I'm just wondering about this ticket, listed here at a price of £41.20. I've tried a couple of booking engines and none offer it. Is it possible to buy this, or is it just some sort of error?

It is a ticket that used to be called "Saver Half". It cannot be bought on it's own, you have to buy an Advance for travel in the opposite direction at the same time. It cannot be bought at stations.

Furthermore that is not an SVS. It is coded SVH so that was an incorrect code. Had you used the correct code many on here would be able to tell you instantly what the problem was.

It's an Off Peak Single (SVH -former Saver Half) that cannot be used singly, not to be confused with the Off Peak Single (SVS) ;)

The old names Saver Single and Saver Half were considered too complex, so the new names Off Peak Single and Off Peak Single "simplify the choice", allow you to buy "in confidence" and ensure that "you know exactly where you stand" (source).

It was an error - sorry about that.

Thanks to everyone for the replies.
