Why use a 6 car train but then say resource availability?

A TfW journey check is showing the 17:06 from Birmingham international as a 6 carriage train instead of 4 carriages and the reason stated is resource availability? So my question is why would it be done and what units are working it as I’m curious?

Think they’ve got it the wrong way round, was 4 car and is booked for 6 I believe so it’s a resource availability of not enough units. Shows as 158836+158837

A “resource issue” with TFW is usually a lack of staff. I’m not sure of the specifics of this case but one possible reason why this could lead to a 6 car vice 4 car formation is if a previous service was cancelled because of said staff shortage, and the unit that should have worked the cancelled service is attached to the following service to get it to where it needs to be.
