Why no North bound Flying Scotsman

Super info and many thanks for enlightening me. My response is why not make the Flying Scotman the existing fast 1000 departure. I would not mind the extra stops, compared to the original non stop to Newcastle schedule.

Whats ln a name, a rose by any name would smell as sweet.
