Why is MMI done after DMI??

I was just thinking, as some ToC’s do it in this way for some reason.

Surely it would be a kick in the teeth if you managed to pass DMI thinking you got the job only to fail at the MMI....

I'd imagine the order in which you fail in is irrelevant.

Fail before or after the other. It doesn't matter, the outcome is the same.

If you fail the MMI you then it doesn't matter when you'd say it.

I was once told that you’re statistically more likely to pass the MMI if you’ve got through a competency-based DMI first.

With that in mind, some TOCs will run the DMI first and put through the candidates who they feel have the necessary experiences to pass the MMI.

If the DMI is done by Driver Manager and 1 other, who conducts the MMI? If they are probing further into questions in DMI then is it likely the same people? Are either of them factored into OPC data that other TOCs can see or use in future, or have an affect of ‘lives’ spent if you fail?

I fully agree with this. The MMI is a psychometric test. You could fully make the answers up and still pass. A pass or fail is based on how you react to the line of questioning. It’s not about right or wrong, it’s about them rattling you!
